Traps are step one of three
Most rodent jobs we get called to have the same history: someone set traps, caught a few rats, and then caught a few more the next month. Forever. Traps remove the rats inside. They do nothing about the quarter-sized gap under the eave that the next ones walk through. Real rodent control is a sequence — remove, seal, clean — and skipping any step means doing it again.
Step 1: Remove
Strategic trapping in the attic, garage, and along travel routes. We check and reset on a schedule until activity stops — confirmed by no new droppings, no new gnawing, quiet nights.
Step 2: Seal (exclusion)
The actual fix. We find and seal every entry: roof-to-soffit gaps, unscreened vents, loose flashing, pipe and AC penetrations, garage door seals, crawl space vents. Steel mesh and metal flashing — materials rats can't chew through. And we trim the branches touching your roof, because in Ocoee's oak canopy the trees are the highway.
Step 3: Clean up
Rat droppings and urine-soaked insulation are a health issue and a smell issue, and the pheromones in them attract the next rats. We remove contaminated insulation, sanitize, and replace what's needed. Skip this and the attic keeps smelling like an invitation.
