Fleas are a three-front war

Flea treatment fails when it only hits one front. Spray the yard but not the house? The indoor eggs hatch next week. Treat the house but not the pet? The dog re-seeds the carpet daily. Bomb the house? You scatter them and miss the eggs anyway. Fleas end when the yard, the home, and the pet are handled together, on the right timeline.

The yard

Fleas breed in shady, humid spots — under decks, in mulch beds, along fence lines, where pets rest. We treat those areas and apply growth regulators that stop larvae from becoming biting adults. One yard treatment isn't enough; the pupal stage resists almost everything, so follow-ups catch each hatching wave.

The home

Targeted treatment of carpets, pet bedding areas, baseboards, and upholstered furniture — plus growth regulators that break the cycle indoors. Vacuuming before and after treatment matters enormously: the vibration stimulates pupae to hatch, and the vacuum removes eggs and larvae. We'll give you the vacuum schedule.

The pet (your vet's department)

Your pet needs its own flea prevention — that's a vet conversation, not a pest control one. But timing matters: the pet's treatment and our home/yard treatments should overlap, not be months apart. Tell us what your vet has your pet on and we'll coordinate the schedule.

Ticks

Central Florida ticks (lone star, American dog tick, brown dog tick) come from woods edges, tall grass, and wildlife. Yard treatment focuses on the perimeter and transition zones — where lawn meets woods or brush. If you're pulling ticks off pets regularly, the yard needs treatment, not just the pet.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long until the fleas are gone?

Typically 4–8 weeks with coordinated treatment — that's two flea life cycles. You'll see steady improvement, not overnight elimination. Anyone promising instant flea elimination is overselling.

Do I need to treat if my pet is on prevention?

If you're still seeing fleas, yes — prevention kills fleas on the pet, but eggs and pupae in the carpet and yard keep hatching. The environment needs treatment too.

Are flea bombs effective?

No. Foggers don't penetrate carpet, pet bedding, or under furniture where fleas actually breed — and they coat your home's surfaces with pesticide. Targeted treatment plus vacuuming works; bombs don't.
